October 22, Paint-Out REPEAT

Hi Folks!

Everyone was so happy with the paint out last weekend that we decided to do it again this weekend -- both groups!

The Morton Arboretum main parking lot at 8:30 AM. We will decide when we meet if we want to reconvene there.

Our Critique/Get Acquainted time will also include:

*** Invitations are available for the Show at the Tavern Club.

OUR HUGE THANKS TO LINO FOR HIS WORK IN PUTTING THESE TOGETHER!

*** By Popular Demand --- Talk about Pricing. We will have a chance to go through topics about pricing including how to use the French Grid, commissions, etc. I hope people will have ideas to share based on their experiences.

It will be COLDER than it has been since last May, according to forecasters. Many of us have memories of where we were painting last May -- when it was COLD -- so layers, layers, layers. Time for the gloves with no fingers.

Look forward to seeing you all.

4100 Illinois Route 53.

We can meet at the Visitor's Center at 8:30 AM

I am also including another copy of the Registration form in this email for anyone who has lost theirs.

HERE"S HOW TO FILL OUT THE FORM:

Our theme is "What exactly IS Plein Air Painting?". We are illustrating the differences.

One way is by artists displaying BOTH their Plein Air and Studio paintings for contrast.

The show is about Plein Air -- so those paintings should predominate -- in number and in space.

Therefore, this is how it goes:

Required to enter: 1 -- Plein Air Painting done with PAPC - SW on a group outing.

This entitles each entrant to also enter: 1 --- Studio painting -- OF THEIR CHOICE -- ANY SUBJECT

This would be a total of 2

Following me so far?

Then, Up to 3 -- Additional Plein Air Paintings done with PAPC - SW on a group outing.

This would entitle each entrant to also enter: 1 MORE Studio Painting -- OF THEIR CHOICE - ANY SUBJECT.

This would be a total of 6

We are encouraging every participant to get the best 'bang' for their buck. Thus, each person can potentially enter up to 6 paintings -- 4 PAPC -
SW Plein Air, and 2 Studio paintings.

The limiter is size. Please be cognizant that to have the greatest exposure to a good potential sale situation we must respect the limits of space. Each artist's work will be hung together. Your total hanging space will be approximately 4 feet wide by 5 feet tall. Aesthetics are of course important -- we don't want to look like a warehouse sale group.

We do prefer no metal frames.

The Registration Form is attached. It is in jpeg file form. You can drag it onto your desktop -- just put your cursor on it with one click -- that will change the color -- hold down the left button and drag off and onto your background desktop -- then let go of the left button. Then click on it and it should open your jpeg reading program.
You can print it out whenever you see its form.
